Exhibition: “Jean-Yves Côté: A Creative Vision, From Yesterday to Today”
The Municipality of Morin-Heights presents a retrospective exhibition of a local artist. After pursuing his education and career in the visual arts, Mr. Côté chose to establish his professional studio in St-Sauveur. Throughout his career, he has continually devoted his time to fulfilling his passion as a sculptor. Now retired, he dedicates himself entirely to his art. One of his works adorns a pier in Lac-Mégantic, in honour of those who lost their lives in the sadly famous tragedy. The exhibition we are presenting will focus on the evolution of his work from 1969 to the present.
At Chalet Bellevue, June 5 to July 5; vernissage open to all on June 5, at 17:00.
Information: chaletbellevue@morinheights.com or 450 226-3232, ext. 132

Wednesday, July 1st, starting at 16:00 at Sommet Morin Heights (231 Bennett Street).
An event packed with activities and fun awaits you for the 2026 festivities: face painting for kids, temporary henna tattoos, inflatable and skill-based games, climbing wall, mechanical bull, fireworks, and much more! The concerts will kick off at 19:00 with Veranda and their folk-country-bluegrass, followed by Pascale Picard and her musicians, who will keep the party going until 22:00. All activities are free! Come celebrate with us!
Good news for our regulars: the famous Strawberry Shortcake is back (at 18:30)! It replaces the traditional Canada Day cake. Donations collected will help fund activities for our senior residents who helped revive this tradition, which was interrupted in its 65th year when the pandemic struck.
Thank you to our three main sponsors: Heritage Canada, Desjardins de la Vallée des Pays-d’en-Haut, and Invesco Habitation!
Check out the flyer below for the detailed schedule!

The Municipality of Morin-Heights presents Marc Angers in Lummis Park! You loved him a few years ago with his band Les Fils du Diable; now come see him perform solo with his violin!
The greatest melodies from the most beautiful popular songs of all time. That’s what Marc and his violin offer in his show “Un violon dans la tête”. Over the years and through his experiences, Marc has developed a unique style of playing his instrument, drawing inspiration from both the great classical violinists and traditional and Cajun “fiddlers.”
Accompanied by his soundtracks, Marc and his violin can move you to tears with one instrumental piece, only to have you tapping your feet to the next! Violin fans will be delighted… and non-fans will be converted!
In Lummis Park on July 9, at 19:00. Feel free to bring your chair or blanket to settle in comfortably. Free for residents of Morin-Heights and children 17 and under; a $5 park admission fee applies to non-residents.
In case of rain, the show will be moved to the Chalet Bellevue (27 Bellevue Street).

The Municipality of Morin-Heights organizes a blood drive that will be held on Wednesday, July 29, between 9:30 and 15:30 at Chalet Bellevue (big room), located at 27 rue Bellevue. We aim to welcome at least 60 donors at this event.
As summer holidays arrive, routines shift, and schedules lighten. Yet in hospitals, the demand for blood products never slows—every day, lives depend on the availability of blood supplies. It is precisely at this time of year that the need to rally around blood donation matters more than ever. It only takes an hour for this act of kindness towards someone waiting for a transfusion or blood product. Just one hour of your time is life-changing. All you have to do is make an appointment! Who knows? You might even make it a habit!
Whether you are a regular or a first-time blood donor, have you thought about inviting your friends, work colleagues and family members to follow your lead? Together, you’ll help Héma-Québec to pursue its mission, which is to meet the daily hospital demand for blood products. Héma-Québec is counting on the generosity of thousands of people.
It is highly recommended to book an appointment before coming to a blood drive. You can easily do so online through our JeDonne app at https://jedonne.hema-quebec.qc.ca/.
Before you come in, be sure to check the eligibility requirements at https://www.hema-quebec.qc.ca, under Donors > Blood > Who Can Donate? For any specific questions about your situation or to book an appointment by phone, please call our Donor Information Service at 1-800-343-7264.
