Spring Break Activities
Spring break is coming soon, and there are lots of fun and free activities for the family waiting for you! Here’s a preview:
🍿 February 27: Movie Night in PJs - A cozy and entertaining evening (Chalet Bellevue, 19:00)
🎉 February 28: Spring Break Party - A chance to celebrate winter in style (Parc Basler, 11:00)
🌲 February 28 to March 8: Snowshoe Rally - An adventure in the forest! (Parc Basler, from 9:00 to 16:00)
🪴 March 5: Seedling Workshop* - For a bountiful harvest this summer (Chalet Bellevue, 13:30)
🦔 March 6: Zoologist in Action* - Animals wake up in the spring (Chalet Bellevue, 10:30)
📚 March 7: Local Authors Meet & Greet - Meet and chat with them (Chalet Bellevue, 10:00 and 13:00)

🎥🍿 MOVIE NIGHT in PJs
What better way to kick off Spring Break than with a cozy and fun evening?
What is it?
A movie night featuring the film Despicable Me 4 (in French), in a fun “pajama party” format! A free snack bar will be available to satisfy your sweet cravings.
When and where?
📅 Friday, February 27, starting at 19:00
📍 Chalet Bellevue (27 rue Bellevue)
How does it work?
No registration required. Free for everyone. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Simply come to Chalet Bellevue and get comfortable!
What to bring?
A water bottle and a blanket (optional). Floor mats and chairs will be provided.

🎉 SPRING BREAK PARTY
Come celebrate Spring Break with a day full of activities and surprises!
What is it?
A fun outdoor winter event featuring giant games, music, skating workshops, sliding, a food truck ($), and much more! A winterly celebration you won’t want to miss.
When and where?
📅 Friday, February 28, from 11:00 to 15:00
📍 Basler Park (99 chemin du Lac-Écho)
How does it work?
Free activity for everyone. No registration required.
👉 In case of rain, the event will be postponed to the following Saturday, March 7.
What to bring?
Your sled, snowshoes and skates, a water bottle, and warm clothing! Please plan to pay for snacks, drinks, and meals ($).

Basler Park or Chalet Bellevue (parking might be limited).

❄️ SNOWSHOE RALLY
Explore the trails of Basler Park during Spring Break and take on a fun winter challenge!
What is it?
A 2 km snowshoe rally through the Basler Park trails. Along the way, collect clues for a chance to enter a draw to win a gourmet gift basket!
When and where?
📅 From Friday, February 28 to Saturday, March 8
📍 Starting point: Basler Park’s snowshoe trails (99 chemin du Lac-Écho)
How does it work?
Free activity for everyone. No registration required.
Participant notes
Bring your snowshoes, a water bottle, and dress warmly. Pick up a participation sheet at the Basler Park gatehouse and return it there once completed. The prize draw will take place on March 9.

🌱 SEEDLING WORKSHOP
Discover gardening and get ready for spring!
What is it?
A guided group seed planting workshop. Children will choose what they want to grow in the spring and leave with their seedlings — and new knowledge!
When and where?

How does it work?
Registration is required and free for children. Places are limited. Accompanying parents are welcome, they do not need to register or pay.

Meet Morin-Heights’ local authors and explore their worlds!
What is it?
The authors of Morin-Heights welcome you! Discover local writers, their inspirations, challenges, and works. During the event, you will have the chance to chat with them and purchase their books.
When and where?
📅 Saturday, March 7, from 10:00 to 11:30 (children), and from 13:00 to 14:30 (adults)

Children’s author meet-and-greet in the morning, and adult author meet-and-greet in the afternoon.

A playful morning where you can discover some of the board games available for rent at the Morin-Heights library. An instructor will be on hand to explain the rules and guide you through the games.
