The Municipality of Morin-Heights, in collaboration with Superfolk Morin-Heights, offers you a unique musical experience!
Parker Shper’s original music for piano, synthesizers and various expanded ensembles includes drone-like psychedelic soundscapes, minimalist piano ostinatos, growling synthesizers and percussive samples. Layers of compelling melodies and open-sounding harmony form jumping-off points for improvisations.
Originally from Vermont, he has lived in Montreal since 2005. He has played piano, synthesiser and Hammond organ with artists such as Leif Vollebekk, Richard Reed Parry (Arcade Fire), Michael Chorney, Anais Mitchell, The Barr Brothers, Craig Finn (The Holdsteady), Trey Anastasio, Alexi Murdoch, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Land Of Talk, Akil The MC (Jurassic 5), and many others. Come and discover his unique world!
Feel free to bring your chair or blanket to settle in comfortably. Access is free to MRC des Pays-d’en-Haut residents and children 17 and under, and there is a $5 access fee for non-residents.
The show will be moved to Chalet Bellevue in case of rain.
