Morin Height’s Elementary bid to become a Green School

The students of Morin Heights Elementary School are working hard to become a Green School. Students from grades 4-5-6 will be sitting on a committee and will be leading the school in efforts to adopt environmentally-friendly practices. This initiative is supported by the school board to ensure their schools are eco-friendly.

Each class had a composting workshop with Mr. Leo Bourget, a local expert who facilitated the workshops and set the class up for proper composting. As part of the Leadership Program, members of the Green Team will be helping with the school with the composting project. This committee will also be working on other projects throughout the year as they lead the students of MH towards making the school a green School.
