Flushing of the Village Drinking Water Network
The Municipality of Morin-Heights will proceed with the rinsing of the Village drinking water network from May 19 until June 1st, between 7:30 and 16:30 (during the weekdays only).
This unidirectional rinsing operation removes sediments or particles that may have formed on the water main walls by flushing them out in a large volume of water by opening fire hydrants. The proper functioning of every street valve is verified, and the fire hydrants are inspected at the same time.
PRECAUTIONS TO TAKE:
The rinsing may cause slight pressure variations. If the water is cloudy or yellowish, simply let the COLD water tap run in the bathtub for 15 minutes (or until the water is clear again) before consuming it. Avoid doing a wash (dishwasher or laundry) during these hours. Do not leave a running faucet unattended.
