The quality of life of Morinheighters is a priority for the municipal Council. In light of this, the Recreation, Culture, and Community Life Department uses a variety of means to ensure that a diversity of cultural and recreational activities is offered and that facilities are available for citizen use.

This department is responsible for providing:

• A variety of courses;
• Outdoor rinks, hockey & skating programs;
• Library services;
• Special events, such as the Canada Day celebrations and the Morin-Heights Fest’Hiver, etc.;
• Community room rentals;
• Exhibition/meeting space rentals;
• Info Morin-Heights bulletin;
• Support to organisations.

The department relies on the collaboration of local community organisations in providing citizens with the diversity of activities and services offered. Consult the calendar of events of this website to know more on what is happening in Morin-Heights.

Planning for equipment needs and their installation also falls under the responsibility of this department.

Citizen card

We invite you to get your citizen card now. This free card, valid for one year, clearly identifies you as a resident of Morin-Heights, for example, to access Lummis Park or obtain free access to various activities. It also gives you free access to the tennis and pickleball courts at Basler Park, as well as to the snowshoe and fat bike trails in winter.
