To meet the requirements of the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MAMH), the Municipality of Morin-Heights invites homeowners connected to the Village’s water supply system to participate in an initiative to install twelve residential water meters, free of charge. This initiative is part of the 2019–2025 Quebec Drinking Water Conservation Strategy (https://www.morinheights.com/Campaign-to-reduce-water), which aims to reduce the amount of water distributed per person in Quebec by 20% compared to 2015.
Water meters allow you to:
– help conserve water resources;
– raise awareness about water waste;
– track your water consumption;
– detect water leaks.
Residents who agree to have a water meter installed will see no financial impact on their tax bill, and the Municipality will guarantee the work performed.
The families sought are ideally composed of four people who live within the area where the Village’s water supply network is located:
– North Sector: Village Road between Grand-Orme Street and Route 364, including Grand-Orme, Lièvre, Campbell, Glen, Voce, Argyle, and Riverside streets
– South Sector: Village Road (Route 329) to Lawken Street, including Bennett, des Primeroses, and des Hauteurs streets
– East Sector: the heart of the village, including Lac-Écho Road to Seize-Arpents and the Sunset sector
– West Sector: The heart of the village, including Watchorn Road from Lac-Écho up to #229, as well as Millard, Crescent, and Hillside streets
For more details, you can view maps of residences connected to the Village network on the Municipality’s website at https://www.morinheights.com/Municipal-drinking-water...
