The Municipality offers many parks for a wide array of activities

Parc Basler

99, chemin du Lac-Écho. Mountain biking network entry point and access point to the cross-country ski and snowshoe ski network. Picnic area.

Parc Lummis

Located at 928, chemin du Village (Route 329), just west of chemin du Lac-Écho along the Rivière-à-Simon. Offers ideal conditions for a leisurely day by the river. The park including children’s playground equipment, picnic tables, benches, parking, sanitary block, and volleyball court. Camping, swimming and barbeques are not permitted on site.

Note that access to Lummis Park is free for all residents with a citizen card and residents of the MRC des Pays-d’en-Haut with their member card (membership info: chaletbellevue@morinheights.com or 450 226-3232, ext. 132). There is a small $5/person fee for non-residents.

Morin-Heights’ residents presenting their citizen cards also have the privilege of inviting five guests free of charge.

Corridor Aérobique

The Corridor Aérobique Pavilion is located at 50, chemin du Lac-Écho, Morin-Heights

The Corridor Aérobique is a 58 kilometre linear trail that runs along the former CN railroad bed between Morin-Heights and St-Rémi-d’Amherst.

The Corridor Aérobique runs through a wide variety of countryside. It follows mountain contours, runs through dense forests, traces valleys and farmers’ fields, and touches the shores of many lakes, rivers, and waterfalls.

In 2008, the Corridor Aérobique joined the Route Verte and is now free to cyclists.

This multi-use trail may be enjoyed by walkers and cyclists from June to mid-October. The park is managed by the MRC des Pays-d’en-Haut during this period.

The trail bed which is made up of a wide path of crushed compact stones is deemed an intermediate trail for cyclists. Hybrid bicycles or mountain bikes are recommended.

During the winter season, a 9-kilometre section of the trail from Morin-Heights to Montfort is maintained by the Municipality of Morin-Heights as an easy cross-country ski trail. The Corridor is also the backbone to Morin-Heights’ 165 km of cross-country ski trail network. Summer Trail network

The majority of cross-country ski trails are for winter use only, from November 15th to April 15th; hence, people are encouraged to respect these dates in order to avoid permanent trail closures. People wishing to hike may use the Corridor Aérobique, mountain bike trails or go to the Parc du Geai Bleu. Ask your copy of the hiking trails at the Town Hall, Chalet Bellevue, Corridor Aérobique or take a look at it here.

Parc de la Rivière-à-Simon

Located at the end of the Corridor Aérobique parking lot, at 50, chemin du Lac-Écho. Offers a wilderness picnic area and walking path along a section of the Rivière-à-Simon. Swimming, camping and barbeques are not allowed on site.

School Playground

Morin-Heights Elementary School, located at 647, chemin du Village has two playground structures and numerous climbing structures suitable for school aged children. The grounds are open to the public after regular school hours and on weekends and holidays.

Soccer field

Located on the grounds of Morin-Heights Elementary School, 647, chemin du Village, the natural grass soccer field is home to the Morin-Heights Football Club from the end of May to early September each year. The field is closed between seasons for field maintenance.

Legion’s Baseball field

The Legion’s baseball field is managed by the Royal Canadian Legion and is located on the east side of Route 329, just north of chemin du Village. Consult the Legion’s section for rental information.

Parc du Geai Bleu

Accessed from rue des Hirondelles, the Parc du Geai Bleu is a short hiking trail that leads up to a breathtaking lookout. An agreement with the Wa-Thik-Ane Girl Guide Camp allows access to the lookout located on their land. Users are asked to follow the indicated route and to carry out anything that they may bring in. Camping is not permitted on site.

Mountain Bike Trails

The mountain bike network, located at Basler Park at 99 ch. du Lac-Écho (+45° 53’ 57’’, +74° 14’ 12’’) near the center of the village consists of approximately 15km of trails. Most of the trails are rated easy to intermediate. A variety of loops can be used to create different circuits with most passing through the shaded wooded areas. There are two panoramic viewpoints and a loop around Lac Lefebvre.

The mini bike parks are located in the wooded corner of the park near the intersection of chemin du Lac-Écho and Corniche. They include a pump track, a maze and a jumping area. These mini parks provide an easy bike area to let junior riders have fun and develop their bike skills.

The park is directly linked to the Corridor Aérobique which also has direct access to the parking lot at Sommet Morin Heights. All cyclists are asked to use these parking areas and to avoid parking in Parc Lummis on Route 329.

Dog Park and Canine Corridor

A dog park is located at 100 ch. du Lac-Écho. For those driving to the site, we invite you to park your vehicle at Basler Park or Chalet Bellevue. Everyone’s safety is a priority at all times! Click here to view the park rules and regulations and here for usage tips.

A one-kilometre (2 km round trip) canine corridor is located at the intersection of Route 364 and chemin du Midi. Dogs must be kept on a leash.
