Doug Lukian or ‘Dougy’ as most of us referred to him died in a tragic car accident on Friday June 1st, driving home from what he loved most, working on log homes.

Over 300 family and friends gathered Friday June 8th 2007 at ‘St Francis of the Birds’ church in St Sauveur to bid farewell to a dear friend. Fittingly, St Francis church is an original log church where Doug and Vivian were married 30 years ago.

Touching and uplifting anecdotes and memories were shared by Bob Brewster and Doug’s brother Ron.

Every one of us will miss Doug for differing reasons, but as his brother Ron expressed so clearly, Doug was one ‘Lucky’ guy who left every one of us with positive smiling memories.

Doug is survived by his wife Vivian, his daughter Jessica, son Taylor, brother Ron, Mother and Father.
